Matrix Commander · Last updated 30 October 2026
Matrix Commander is a file manager for macOS. This policy explains what the app does with your data.
Data we collect
Matrix Commander does not collect, store or transmit personal data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not receive any information about your files, folders or how you use the app.
Your files
The app reads, copies, moves, renames and deletes files only on your Mac and on the drives you connect, and only when you ask it to. Nothing about your files is sent anywhere.
Folder access
In the Mac App Store version, the app runs in Apple's App Sandbox. It can open a folder outside its own container only after you grant access through the standard folder picker. The app saves these grants on your Mac so it can reopen the folders later. The grants stay on your Mac and are never sent anywhere.
iCloud files
If a file is stored only in iCloud, macOS downloads it when you copy it. This happens through Apple's own iCloud services. Matrix Commander does not send any iCloud data to us or to anyone else.
Updates
The Mac App Store version is updated by the App Store. The app does not contact an update server of its own.
Children
Matrix Commander does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
